We are a passionate group of logical creative people.
In 2008, Look East Media Pvt. Ltd. was founded as a publication house with the vision of touching the base of socio-political, literary and other concerning areas that needed a voice in the society. We publish in mainly two languages – Bengali and English, and cater both fiction and non-fictions. Gradually we have become a reliable publication house and many notable and amateur writers have used our platform to express their views and works, through various books and titles. We have been setting up our book stall at The International Kolkata Book Fair
In 2009, after earning the confidence of our writers and readers through our books, we started publishing a Bengali monthly magazine titled Bangla Street. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was graced by Mahasweta Devi, an eminent Indian writer, activist, Padma Bibhushan and Magsaysay awardee, as honourable chief guest. The magazine aimed at attracting Bengali people living all over the world and was published from Kolkata and London, simultaneously! Since 2021, we are publishing the print edition of Bangla Street annually as a king-size festive edition Bangla Street Utsav, and the web edition Bangla Street Online is available on its website
In 2010, as we already had a dedicated creative team of graphic and web designers to take care of our in-house needs, we aspired to utilize their expertise and our experience for a new venture, and started taking graphic and web design projects. Over the years, more creative professionals joined and helped us grow. Recently we have launched our exclusive graphic and web design division DESiGNS where clients can experience our tailor-made design service from anywhere. We offer custom logos, websites, stationaries, print ads, signage, graphics, cartoons, illustrations, and other design & digital solutions for all sizes and sectors of business.
We have a carefully handpicked stuff to make sure each member possesses the right character, qualification, aptitude and expertise in his / her concerned domain.
In 2023, Meera International Films started producing videos (independent and commercials) under the banner of Look East Media. Meera International Films forayed in the media and production in the year 2002 and has since then continuously been a part of film industry and fraternity. It has engaged in producing, making and marketing of Feature Films, Documentaries, Advertisement Films as well as Fiction and Non-Fiction Programs for TV media. It is continuously patronized by celebrities from Mumbai and Kolkata. Meera International Films is an associate of Overseas Consultants and a unit of Overseas Group.
In 2024, Overseas Group started organizing and managing events under the banner of Look East Media. Overseas Group have organized and flawlessly managed numerous events in past 20 years. With our expertise, passion and creativity, we offer cutting-edge solution for devising, coordinating and executing corporate events, concerts, product launches etc.
